John Allyn Cortright, 69 of Pinebluff died Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Cortright was born February 24, 1942 in Montclair, N.J. a son of the late John and Elizabeth Corning Cortright. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. He was retired as Plant Manger of a mini-blind and shutter factory.

He is survived by his wife Yvonne McMenamin Cortright of the home, one son John Allyn Cortright III of Richmond Va. And one daughter Lee Cortright, two step-sons Patrick Baumgart and Hanns Baumgart both of Raleigh and one step-daughter Yvette Baumgart of Raleigh, and seven grand children.

A service to celebrate his life will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at All Saints Episcopal Church with Father Harry Abernathy officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church parish hall.

John Morrison Poole

Mr. John Morrison Poole, 70, 210 Oakridge Church Road, Hamlet, died
on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, as a result of an automobile accident.

Mr. Poole was born Sept. 20, 1941, in Hamlet, son of Harry H. Poole and
Nell Jordan Poole.

He was a locomotive engineer for CXS with over 40 years of service.
John was a member of Outreach for Jesus and Brotherhood of
Locomotive Engineers. He loved his family, his church, train
memorabilia and his constant companions, his feline pets, Rowdy,
Woo-Woo and B.J.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, at 2 p.m., one hour prior to
service, at Outreach for Jesus. At other times the family will receive
friends at home of Benja and Judy Burr, 109 Pinedale Drive, Pinelakes,
Rockingham.

The Funeral will begin at 3 p.m. at Outreach for Jesus with Pastor Marvin Taylor officiating. Entombment will follow at Richmond Memorial Park.

He is preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Timothy Allen Gardner; and Aunt, Eunice P. Bruce.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Odom Poole of the home; daughters, Beth Poole Crouch and husband, Brad of Pinehurst and Connie Lynn Poole of the home; grandchildren, Katie J. and Bennett Crouch of
Pinehurst; brother, James “Jimbo” Poole and wife, Kim of Hamlet; nieces, Janelle and Ashley Pool of Hamlet; mother-in-law, Florine K. Odom of Rockingham; sister-in-laws, Judy O. Burr and husband, Benja of Rockingham and Jo Ann Burns and husband, Mike of Hamlet; brother in-laws, Henry Pete Odom, Jr. and wife Charlotte of Benton, Louisiana, Buddy Odom of Hamlet, Edward Odom of Rockingham and Michael Odom and wife, Debbie of Laurinburg; uncle, Herbert Bruce; nephew, Robert Bruce; nieces, Nora and Susan Bruce; and very special friends, David Gibson and Lynn Kiker.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the family or Outreach for Jesus, 440 Battley Dairy Road, Hamlet, N.C. 282345.

john poole died in a car accident early saturday morning [October 8, 2011]. they think he had a heart attack or a stroke that caused him to wreck his car.  funeral will be at Outreach for Jesus Church wednesday at 3:00 with visitation an hour before hand and entombment after funeral. wilson harrington is serving the family.

jeanne long died sunday. visitation is tonight at harrington funeral home from 6-8.  memorial service there tomorrow at 11 a.m. we are so sorry about jeanne. she made an effort to attend our 50th reunion and she looked so beautiful.

Mr. David “Glenn” Graham, 71, Hamlet, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011, at First Health Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst. He was born Feb. 5, 1939, in Richmond County, son of Delmas Delphin Graham and Blanche Peele Graham.

Mr. Graham was retired from Alpha Plastics, was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and was a veteran of U.S. Army. He was a paratrooper in the Elite 82nd Airborne.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at Harrington Funeral Home, from 5 to 7 p.m.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor John Pfisterer officiating. Burial will follow at Mary Love Cemetery, Hamlet.  He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Emogene Goins and Doris Singletary. Survivors include his wife, Yvonne Wilson Graham of the home; daughters, Angela Correll and husband, Larry, of Waxhaw, and Karen Stone and husband Ricky, of Rowland; grandchildren, Steven Stone and wife Sarah, Kyle Stone, Brooks Correll and Britton Correll; brothers, James “Bo” Graham and wife Gracie, of Hamlet, and Bill Graham and wife Gwen, of Georgia; sister, Edna Smith, of Hamlet; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in Glenn’s memory to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 311 Marlboro Ave., Hamlet, NC 28345 or Richmond County Hospice, 1119 N. From Roberta January 16, 2011    glenn, Yvonne's husband, passed away this ;morning.  Yvonne and family will receive at Harrington Funeral Home in Hamlet Tuesday from 5-7pm. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Hamlet. burial will be in Mary Love Cemetery afterwards.  Memorials may be made to St. Pauls Lutheran Church or to Hospice in Rockingham.  If anyone wishes to go in with me to send flowers please email or call me and let me know how much you are willing to give. Class does not give anything to the spouse of a class member. Thank you.
